Reclaiming the past to build the future

In the past often burned or razed, today many of these barns and other farm structures are carefully salvaged for their distinctive, timeless material. Much of it is re-cycled and re-purposed for use in applications that allow this unique historic and valuable material to live on.

Here at The WoodSource we take great pride in the quality of our product. We inspect and sort each and every piece to ensure that you receive only the best quality material; our reputation depends on it.

We carry a large inventory of original hand hewn timbers in sizes ranging from small to large and lengths from 6’ to over 35’. Common wood species are Ash, Elm, Beech, Hemlock and Pine.

Our board stock includes vintage barn siding in silver grey, mild and dark red, interior board (often used for flooring or other unique applications), thick/wide threshing floor planks, roof board and original sawn dimensional lumber. Material is exclusively softwood, typically eastern white pine or eastern hemlock.

We can provide a variety of services including custom sawmilling, planing and other milling services.
